A new space for Latino men (and I need your brain on this!)

Sanar Network

Have you ever noticed that when there’s a community outreach or mental health event, the room is rarely filled with men?

As a therapist, I see this gap every day. I constantly hear partners share the same heavy burden: the men in their lives struggle to be emotionally present. They often view working long hours as their only way to provide support, and they get easily angered when the pressure builds.

To change this, bring awareness to how men can be more open about mental health, and help couples build healthier relationships, I’m officially launching Llama a un Amigo.

Building on our success with the Sanar Network, this is a culturally competent space for Latino men and the providers who support them, focusing on addiction, relationship struggles, and anger management and more.

What we are doing right now:

  • Free Tools: Our website already features free, downloadable articles and worksheets designed to increase awareness and support men exactly where they are.
  • Upcoming Podcast: We are launching a podcast featuring professionals and passionate advocates dedicated to making a lasting impact on families and lifting the emotional weight off of partners' shoulders.

Reply directly to this email and let me know:

  1. What is the biggest gap you see in support for Latino men?
  2. How can we partner or work together on this mission?

Con gratitud,
